Polycut 500 is designed to cut/melt polystyrene into smaller pieces. Polystyrene blocks are placed on the plane of the machine, with the desired location for cutting the polystyrene block directly under the cutting wire. Release the wire boom and move it down so that the cutting wire lies over the polystyrene block. The heating wire is activated and the wire boom pulls the heating wire vertically down through the polystyrene block by its own weight.
The machine cuts with its own weight, which means it’s very easy to operate, quick and simple to use without the need for unnecessary effort. This makes a big difference to the workflow, and since it cuts with millimeter precision, it also saves time and material. For example, when cutting at an angle, the off-cut can easily be used elsewhere in the structure, which is good for sustainability.
The polystyrene cutter therefore offers significant savings – both in terms of power and time.
